Coeur d’Alene is about 30 miles east of Spokane and is home to more than 44,000 residents, as of the 2010 census. The city has seen tremendous growth in recent years, in large part due to the tourism industry and the number of resorts there. It boasts a wonderful climate, with average highs in the 70s during the summer and cool springs and falls.
