Porsche has big goals of electrifying its entire lineup by 2025. The first vehicle to get this treatment appears to be the all-new 2020 Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo. With an all-electric powertrain, the Taycan Cross Turismo is unlike anything you’ve ever seen.

Electric Powertrain

The main draw of the Porsche Taycan is its electrified powertrain. Based on the Mission E Cross Turismo Concept that debuted at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, the all-new vehicle will debut its own Cross Turismo model, a wagon model promised to crank out over 600 horsepower. With a 300+-mile range thanks to the help of two electric motors, Porsche promises drivers will be able to drive further than ever behind the wheel of an EV. Part of Porsche’s process of electrifying its lineup involves debuting 800-volt charging stations.

 

Sleek Appearance

We won’t know what makes it to the final draft of the Porsche Taycan until the production model officially makes an appearance this September. However, we can look to the Mission E Cross Turismo Concept for a few hints. A sweeping profile with a wideset, aggressive stance is expected, and we know the Taycan will sit on the Taycan sedan’s platform.

 

Roomy Interior

While no one has specifics yet, the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo will be, as previously mentioned, a wagon. Larger vehicles like SUVs, crossovers, minivans, and the like have been getting the hybrid and EV treatment in recent years, but an electrified wagon is rare. A spacious interior promises that drivers can have sufficient space for both passengers and cargo while also getting the efficiency of an EV.

 

Future Options

Porsche has hinted that the Cross Turismo is only the first variant to be offered under the Taycan nameplate. Experts speculate this may hint at future coupe or SUV models in the lineup for drivers who want more options.
